The event will take place on Thursday, January 29th, 6pm-8pm, in the Learning Resource Center (LRC), which is on the first floor of the William J. Raggio Building. Hope to see so many of you there!

Join the College of Education & Human Development for their free Community Inspired Connections workshop! Teruni Lamberg, Ph.D., will speak on "Teaching Students Strategies for Learning Math: Ideas for Parents and Teachers." Learning math can often feel like a daunting challenge. However, there are specific strategies that students can adopt to improve their study habits and take control of their learning. Join us for this workshop to gain valuable insights into helping students develop effective methods for learning math.

This free workshop provides Washoe County School District in-service credits and University professional learning hours. Educators, faculty, students and parents are invited to attend. UofNEA will be providing complimentary refreshments. The workshop will take place on Wednesday, January 21st, from 5:30-7:30pm, Learning Resource Center (LRC), which is on the first floor of the William J. Raggio Building.

The state of NV is a top target for the DNC’s When We Count Youth Fellowship program, targeted at registering youth voters.

When We Count Fellowship
This paid, part-time youth fellowship will train young supporters to register new Democratic voters on the ground, with a particular focus on non-college youth – a group frequently overlooked by traditional youth registration efforts. Considering that nearly 60% of Americans 18-24 are not enrolled in college, this strategic focus fills a gap in the ecosystem and ensures we’re reaching and registering young voters where they live and work.
